Sonic Walking
Maurizio Goina & Pietro Polotti
SW is a tool for the perception of one's own individuality in walking. As a sort of interactive "mirror", SW prompts visitors to become aware of their own posture and gait through a sonic representation of their actions while walking, running, jumping or, in general, moving in space. Activated by the user, different ecological sounds behave as stimulus and guide for step character, speed and articulation. While walking, the user "feels the sound in the joints" and controls and modifies the action consequently.
